Conflict Resiliency

Learning from Conflict

Every conflict has the potential to teach us something new. Reflect on a recent conflict you experienced. What lessons did you take away from it, and how have they influenced your approach to future conflicts?

You're totally right. Usually I walk right into conflicts, but more recently I've tried to give it a little space and time before reacting and have found that in some cases time alone solves things without any confrontation better than anything else.

I've experience that, too, Derek. I have to admit, I still tend to leap into "solve mode" but I've definitely seen space and time be powerful tools and I'm hoping to use them more intentionally in the future.

I often feel I need to take a step back and gather my thoughts before coming forward and addressing the conflict.
