Adding Virtual Events to C2C Community Program

Last week we started rolling out our new Virtual Event features. The Community teams who use Bevy are some of the most innovative, hard-working and successful community teams in the world. So it’s no surprise that they rose to the COVID-19 challenge and kept their communities engaged through Virtual Events.

While we all know that virtual events only capture a small amount of the social dynamic that comes from IRL events, these virtual Customer-to-Customer engagements are a core value for any successful C2C Community program. So with that, we wanted to share some customer stories from these amazing community teams:

“We've been blown away and inspired by our community's resilience amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Our customers are finding new and creative ways to learn, connect, have fun, and give back together. I've seen virtual events to show off pets, events to help others skill up to find work, virtual exercise classes, and meditations, to name a few. Although we feel the physical distance between us, it's beautiful to witness how someone in Morocco can be in the same event as someone in Brazil or New Zealand. Since Bevy rallied together to create the virtual event type and support, our user groups have organized 150+ events with 3,500+ RSVPs.”

Sofía Rodríguez Mata, Community Manager @ Salesforce

“One challenge we are now faced with is keeping our events leaders engaged without the ability to host in-person events. We knew we wanted to have a formalized process for virtual events, but it didn’t exist yet. The virtual event feature on Bevy is the most useful right now. Leaders are now able to input a video conferencing link rather than a physical address, the virtual event button on the event page once people RSVP is a great visual reminder, and having a specific virtual event type helps with reporting on the number of virtual events. In 2020, Community Leaders have hosted a total of 201 events! Within the last month, 30 of those events have been virtual.”

Cassie Mayes, Community Operations Manager @ Atlassian

“The current situation has pushed our community team to move quickly and develop more virtual connection opportunities for our members. The Asana community team hosts the Asana Together World Tour, a global series of in-person panel discussions and learning workshops for our customers. We've rapidly transitioned to an entirely virtual format. Bevy's brand new Virtual event type has been instrumental in helping us still manage our registration and check-ins through Bevy. We're all connecting in new ways that we need – just doing it virtually.”

Kimberlea Buczeke, Global Community @ Asana

“Bevy has been exactly what the Miro Community Events team needed when due to unforeseen circumstances our Miro User Groups had to move to virtual events. Their amazing team really listened to our feedback and now with this virtual events update our user group leaders are able to execute amazing virtual Miro User Groups! You can really tell that Bevy knows what they're doing and cares about the success of their customers.”

Brittni Cocchiara, Community Events Manager @ Miro
